Interested in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy?

Combining psychotherapy with holistic care creates a well-rounded approach to healing, addressing the mind, body, and spirit.
Our integrative approach to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy promotes deeper self-awareness, balance, and resilience, supporting lasting well-being.
  • Which treatment is right for you?
Choosing the right treatment depends on your unique needs, goals, and circumstances. During an initial consultation, we’ll explore your mental health history, current challenges, and aspirations to determine the most appropriate therapeutic approach. Whether it’s individual therapy, Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, or a combination of modalities, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan to support your healing journey.
  • What is Ketamine, and what conditions does it treat?
Ketamine is a medication that has been repurposed for mental health treatment due to its effectiveness in reducing symptoms of treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain. When combined with psychotherapy, it can promote deeper self-awareness, emotional release, and healing.
  • What are the differences between oral, intramuscular, and intravenous Ketamine?
Oral Ketamine: Slower absorption, less intense effects, often used for ongoing therapy or integration sessions. Intramuscular Ketamine (IM): Administered via injection, offers moderate-to-deep therapeutic effects and is widely used in Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Intravenous Ketamine (IV): Delivered directly into the bloodstream, providing rapid and intense effects, often in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • What types of results can I expect?
While results vary, many clients experience reduced symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy can lead to greater emotional clarity, improved mood, and increased resilience. Success depends on individual circumstances, treatment consistency, and post-session integration practices.
  • What is psychotherapy, and what conditions does it treat?
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process where clients work with a licensed therapist to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a safe, supportive environment. It is effective for addressing a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, relationship challenges, and more.
  • Can you do Ketamine and psychotherapy at the same time?
Yes, Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a powerful approach that combines the therapeutic effects of Ketamine with the guidance of a trained therapist. During or after Ketamine sessions, therapy helps clients process and integrate their experiences for meaningful, lasting change.
  • What makes Intuitive Heart Counseling different?
At Intuitive Heart Counseling, we provide holistic, strengths-based, person-centered care with a focus on trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices. Our approach integrates traditional psychotherapy with innovative methods like Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and alternative healing modalities such as yoga, sound healing, aromatherapy, and group therapy. We strive to create a safe and empathetic space for each client’s healing journey.
  • What is it like to do Ketamine, and how is it administered?
Ketamine therapy can be a deeply introspective experience. Clients may feel relaxed, gain new perspectives, and explore emotions in a safe, guided environment. It can be administered in three primary ways: Oral (lozenges or tablets): Slower onset with gentler effects, often used for preparation or integration sessions. Intramuscular (IM injections): Moderate onset with profound therapeutic effects, ideal for Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Intravenous (IV infusions): Rapid onset with precise dosing, typically used in medical settings for immediate symptom relief.
